Since we started our operations in Singapore with the launch of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Singapore Region in 2010, we’ve continued to grow locally by introducing Prime Now in 2017 (now renamed Amazon Fresh) and Amazon.sg in 2019. In 2023, we invested S$2 billion across our local retail and cloud business, and AWS committed to spending a total of $23 billion in Singapore by 2028. In 2025, we have over 2,500 employees across cloud, corporate, retail, technology, and operations functions in Singapore.
Today, deepening our investment in Singapore, we’re excited to unveil a brand-new office at IOI Central Boulevard Towers, in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District and right next to Asia Square where our first corporate office is located. This new 360,000 sq ft state-of-the-art space is home to employees from both Amazon and AWS, and is equipped with many new facilities to support our teams’ wellbeing and interests and to support deeper engagement between leaders, experts, and customers.

The new office will serve as AWS’s Asia Pacific Hub, where we’ll continue to drive digital transformation and innovation through the region and run training programs for early career talent to help build the next generation of tech leaders in Singapore.
Here’s a first look inside the new office, and some fun facts to know about it.
1. Its opening marks three anniversaries.
![A triple celebration](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/33f4814/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2048x1366+0+0/resize/1114x743!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fa6%2Fd9%2F7f5a1dac4a9cac4b6cd841b97a03%2Famazon-new-office-3-anniversaries.jpg)
This is a special year for both Singapore and Amazon. It’s Singapore’s 60th birthday, and Amazon’s 30th anniversary. It’s also the 15th year since the AWS Singapore Region launched, the first in Asia Pacific—meaning that Amazon’s new office’s opening comes during a triple celebration year.
2. It will host the AWS Asia Pacific Innovation Hub showcasing all the newest and coolest AWS technologies.
![Learn and Be Curious](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/1ff6a49/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1001x668+0+0/resize/1001x668!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Ff2%2F43%2Fa795eff14e2192b7283448f36755%2Famazon-new-office-learn-and-be-curious.jpg)
The AWS Asia Pacific Innovation Hub is designed to inspire, educate, and empower businesses and governments with the latest industry technologies, from generative AI to software engineering. It will also provide a collaborative space where local customers and partners can work with AWS specialists. The AWS Asia Pacific Innovation Hub will be launched later this year.
3. It houses the world’s first Amazon Inclusion and Sustainability Gallery.

We take pride in our inclusive and responsible hiring practices, and over the years, we’ve conducted Girls’ Tech Days; actively recruited from Singapore’s universities, polytechnics and Institutes of Technical Education; and organised free digital courses to help learners better understand AWS services and solutions. AWS Skill Builder offers more than 600 free training courses to help employees, customers and students prepare for certification exams and gain hands-on skill. Our teams are multicultural and multigenerational, and they work on projects that are just as varied, from generative AI to water conservation. This world-first space will showcase the results of that diversity and teams’ achievements through hosted tours, talks and other experiences.
4. There’s a new Candidate Experience Center, the region’s largest.
![Amazon Aspire](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/9c51497/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2048x1366+0+0/resize/1114x743!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fcb%2F78%2Fae8307104378b35fd21fd09a54a8%2Famazon-new-office-amazon-aspire.jpg)
Interviewing for a new job should be a comfortable, private experience, and the Amazon Aspire Candidate Experience Center is designed for just that. Located close to the reception area, it allows interviewees to check in quickly, then be ushered to a private zone—separate from the employee area—to maintain confidentiality. Natural lighting and a balcony view also help candidates get centred before their interview. We continue to expand our local workforce and job openings currently available in Singapore can be found on amazon.jobs.
5. It has more collaboration spaces for more employee interactions and creativity.
![Collaboration spaces](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/d45e47e/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2048x1366+0+0/resize/1114x743!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fed%2F44%2F286d12744cdfa6132a65883aa992%2Famazon-new-office-collaboration-spaces.jpg)
There are many affinity and interest groups at Amazon, from Connect@Amazon, Women@Amazon, Sustainability@Amazon to Amazon Toastmasters and Musicians@Amazon and more. To give these employee-resource groups more opportunities to interact and to build stronger bonds, the new office has a dedicated multi-function hall for the affinity and interest groups to accommodate festive celebrations to yoga sessions, and other large collaboration spaces for employee gatherings.
6. It has AWS’s first flagship Executive Briefing Center in Asia Pacific to support deeper engagement between leaders, experts, and customers.
![AWS EBC](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/e560960/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2048x1366+0+0/resize/1114x743!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2F01%2Fe9%2Fd3d5033a4c86a61ba77c5df79ee1%2Famazon-new-office-aws-executive-briefing-center.jpg)
Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs) are custom-built spaces with meeting rooms, breakout spaces and lounge areas where AWS customers can dive into focused discussions with Amazon and AWS leaders and subject matter experts. The Singapore EBC is the first flagship in the Asia Pacific region after successful roll-outs in Seattle, London and New York, and it reflects the country’s reputation as a Garden City, with installations highlighting patterns and tiles native to Singapore, as well as an emphasis on upcycling and eco-friendly practices.
7. It’s packed with local flavour.
![Packed with local flavour](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/089c16a/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2048x1366+0+0/resize/1114x743!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Famazon-blogs-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fc7%2Fd5%2F669ec9f047d19775d08660b17962%2Famazon-new-office-local-flavour.jpg)
With meeting rooms named after popular Singapore dishes (Kaya Toast or Nasi Lemak, anyone?); pantry tables made out of recycled chopsticks; and interactive features like a “Wheel of Makan” wall-mounted game offering suggestions on what to have for lunch, our latest office truly reflects Singapore’s food-obsessed culture.
The new office opening reinforces Amazon and AWS’s place in Singapore, and augments our continued local investment in the community. For example, AWS is spending an additional S$12 billion on expanding its existing cloud infrastructure between 2024 and 2028, which will support an estimated 12,300 jobs a year within local businesses in the data center supply chain.
AWS is also supporting the Digital Enterprise Blueprint to empower SMEs and ICM solution providers in Singapore at every stage of their digital journey. Hundreds of Singaporean SMEs have benefitted from AWS programs such as AWS Activate, AWS LIFT and the AWS Migration Acceleration Programme, as well as a series of bespoke technical workshops that AWS co-organized with IMDA targeted at specific industries, such as retail and manufacturing, or advanced topics, such as cybersecurity.
