In October, we announced the general availability of Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed AWS service that makes large language models and other foundation models (FMs) from leading artificial intelligence (AI) companies, including AI21, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, and Stability AI, available through a single API. New capabilities for Amazon Bedrock empower customers to customise models, enable generative AI applications to execute multistep tasks, and build safeguards into their applications. Learn more.

AWS also announced three new customers from the Asean region at the event:

• Aerodyne: The Malaysia-based, world number one drone solutions provider is running its DRONOS software as a service (SaaS) platform on AWS to help drone operators worldwide grow their businesses. DRONOS is an innovative, end-to-end drone service platform that allows drone users to onboard, analyse, and make sense of drone data to optimise operations, drive efficiencies, and conduct aerial inspections to keep workers safely on the ground. • Axiata: The leading Asian telco and digital group is accelerating its digital transformation across its operating companies to better serve its 174 million customers in the Southeast Asia and South Asia regions. It will migrate a large array of its mission-critical applications, including more than 650 services across customer service, enterprise resource planning, and human resources, to AWS by the end of 2024. In addition, the company will move 80 machine learning (ML) applications to the world’s leading cloud. More info here.
• Krungsri Bank: Thailand's Krungsri is digitally transforming with AWS to further enhance the customer experience, drive financial inclusion, and unlock operational efficiencies. With AWS, three entities of the group (Bank of Ayudhya, Ayudhya Capital Services, and Krungsri Auto) will be enabled to collaborate using data analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI).
